www.fortwhyte.org FortWhyte Alive is dedicated to providing programming, natural settings and facilities for environmental education, outdoor recreation, and social enterprise.
In so doing, FortWhyte promotes awareness, understanding, and enjoyment of the natural world, and encourages actions leading to sustainable living.
Hi, My name is Barret Miller, one of FortWhyte Alive's resident interpreters. The Education Team at FortWhyte Alive work to build bridges between the natural world, the cultural history of Manitoba, and our visitor's everyday experience. We lead professional environmental education programs, we provide opportunities for people to try outdoor pursuits like snowshoeing or kayaking, we make history come alive...sometimes, all in the same day!
The combination of widely differing audiences, the ever-changing natural world, and a smorgasbord of information, often leads my colleagues and me into interesting adventures in interpretation.
This blog is our chance to share some of what we do with you!
